Kameeldoring

For the braai and overnight stoves

Pick it when the braai matters: a big crowd, a long afternoon, a potjie that has to simmer. Also the one for long, hot overnight burns in a closed stove.

Mix and match

At the braai: get the fire going with Black Wattle, then add Kameeldoring for coals that last the whole afternoon.

In the stove: Blue Gum for everyday burns, mixed with Kameeldoring when you want a long, hot night. Don’t overload the stove, and follow its manual.

Questions about our wood

Which wood is best for a braai?

Kameeldoring is the ultimate braai wood: it burns very hot and long and leaves world-class coals. For an economical braai, Black Wattle makes decent coals and performs much like Rooikrans.

Which wood should I use in my fireplace or closed-combustion stove?

Blue Gum is our fireplace and stove wood. It burns hot and clean with very little ash. For long, hot overnight burns in a closed-combustion stove, Kameeldoring is great. It burns very hot, so load sensibly and follow your stove’s manual.

Why is Kameeldoring sold by weight and the others by piece count?

Kameeldoring logs are natural and vary a lot in size and shape, so weight is the fairest way to sell it. Blue Gum and Black Wattle are sold by piece count. Chat to us on WhatsApp for current options.
